Child Safety Standards

MapDate Child Safety Standards

Last updated: August 28, 2026

MapDate is committed to protecting children and complying with Google Play's Child Safety and Families policies. These standards describe how we prevent minors from accessing our Service and how we respond to child safety concerns.

1. Age Restriction

MapDate is a dating platform intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and older. Users under 18 are not permitted to create an account or use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

2. Age Verification at Registration

To enforce our minimum age requirement, we require a date of birth during onboarding and reject any date of birth indicating an age below 18, require users to confirm they are 18 or older before account creation, display clear age-gating notices on registration and entry screens, and reserve the right to request additional identity verification where the provided age appears inconsistent or suspicious.

3. Detecting and Removing Underage Users

If we become aware that a user is under 18, we suspend and permanently remove the account, delete all associated personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and notify the user that the account has been closed due to age restrictions. We encourage our community to report any suspected underage user through the in-app Report function or the Help Centre.

4. Reporting Mechanisms

MapDate provides in-app reporting on profiles, messages, stories, and photos, a dedicated Help Centre for safety-related reports, and prioritized review of suspected minor reports within 24 hours.

5. Prohibition of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

MapDate has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse material. Any content depicting or promoting the sexual exploitation of minors is removed immediately, the responsible accounts are permanently banned and reported to law enforcement, and confirmed CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline as required by applicable law.

6. Content Moderation

We use a combination of automated detection and human review to identify and remove content that endangers children, including grooming behavior or sexual advances toward minors, requests for sexual content from users who may be underage, and any attempt to recruit, coerce, or exploit a child.

7. Blocking and Safety Tools

To help users protect themselves and others, MapDate provides one-tap blocking of any user from their profile or chat, a Safety Centre with tips, emergency contacts, and date check-in features, and a panic button that alerts a trusted emergency contact.

8. Privacy of Minors

We do not knowingly collect, store, or process personal data from children. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 18, we delete it immediately. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

9. Education and Awareness

We promote safe interactions through in-app guidance that encourages users to meet in public, share plans with trusted contacts, and report any concerning behavior. Our Safety Centre is accessible to all users at no cost.

10. Compliance with Google Play Families Policy

MapDate is not designed for, nor marketed to, children. We comply with Google Play's Families and Child Safety policies, including age-gating, reporting, and removal requirements. We do not display content or ads unsuitable for a general audience.

11. Law Enforcement Cooperation

We cooperate with law enforcement and child protection agencies in investigations involving the safety of children, including responding to valid legal requests for information related to child exploitation.

12. Contact Us

To report a child safety concern or request removal of a suspected minor's account, contact us through the Help Centre in the app or email safety@mapdate.example.com. Urgent child safety reports are prioritized immediately.
